At the Active, Able, Adaptive Conference I helped with a variety of activities. I primarily worked with engaging participants, setting up the venue for guests, and cookie decorating.

I learned that it is important to have volunteers who will have something to do.  For this event, I signed up specifically for cookie decorating, however when I arrived there was no supplies for cookie decorating, which resulted in standing around doing random tasks that I could find until the cookie supplies arrived. It is important to be flexible as a volunteer!

The purpose of this event is to get students active and ensure that they feel welcomed and involved through physical activity.
