Kite Fest was my group project for RPTS 321. I spent most of my last semester of college planning and executing Kite Fest with my group of 10 other classmates. My main role for Kite Fest was Food and Beverage. I was in charge of contacting all Food Trucks, coordinating timelines with them, creating risk management for day of and ensuring all vendor forms were correct in order for them to attend Kite Fest. In addition to food/beverage management, I helped the team in a variety of different ways when we needed help with decorations, signage, timelines and much more!

I learned how important it is to work as a team when you are planning a large community event with 3,000+attendees. Communication was key to this event and I can't imagine having completed this large event without my group working together and understanding differing opinions and figuring out solutions to problems.

The purpose of this event is an annual outreach event put on by the RPTS Department in order to create a safe and family friendly environment in the parks of College Station.
